Armalite
A mid-caliber version of the famous AR-50, the Armalite AR-30 fires standard .308 Winchester/7.62 NATO rounds with amazing precision. Weighing in at only 12 pounds, this rifle is ideal for those looking for an extremely precise weapon, but don't feel like hauling around a 32 pound .50 BMG rifle.

this gun is on of the best on the open market but doesnt compare to military grade specific target weaponry, short and sweet. I do own one though and wouldn't sell except for the 50cal.

Problems with the bipode attapter lug (loose fit/ will not secure to channel port). Retrator Bolt misalined with cheek attachment on stock (can''t remove without removing cheek rest). Have not fired the gun yet.

This rifle seems to be everything Armalite intended. I have shot the Hornady Super Performance 308 165 Gr with some success. It seems to like the 168 Federal match the best. I love the trigger set at about 2-1/2 lbs. I like This rifle seems to be everything Armalite intended. I have shot the Hornady Super Performance 308 165 Gr with some success. It seems to like the 168 Federal match the best. I love the trigger set at about 2-1/2 lbs. I like the grip of the rifle. The only drawback is weight. Bipod or shooting sticks is a plus with this rifle. I love the detachable magazine. However they are rather expensive. I do not believe the cost of the magazines is justified. I think they are asking about 75.00 dollars a pop. The bipod is over priced as well at about 250.00 dollars, I think. The gun does appear to be virtually indestructible. All precision machined from the stock to the barrel which is what we expect from Armalite. The weight and the price of the accessories is the reason I give it a 4 star rating.the grip of the rifle.
