I've had a couple different Glocks, and several other brands of handguns over the years, and I can honestly say that I have never had a malfunction of any kind with a Glock. My newest one is a G19 and it is my most favorite of them all. Every other handgun brand that I have owned would sooner or later malfunction,but not the Glocks. You pull the trigger on a Glock, it goes bang every time. Some people say they aren't accurate but my 19 has shot better groups than my Kimber. And it doesn't jam when it gets dirty.

If you had to choose only one Glock to have, this is the one. Brought it to the range and put about 200 rounds through it and it performed flawlessly !!! No misfeeds. Also, this gun is fairly accurate. I was impressed with it''s accuracy. This isn''t the prettiest of pistols, but it is just as reliable as any others out there. This will make a great carry gun.

I love this weapon. I work in plain clothes, this weapon is easy to conceal, but its dependability and performance are beyond compare. I like my Government Issue one so much I'm buying my own for off duty.

i put shot 300rds 20mins afer gettig it,liked it so much, i went back and got the last one he had,in od,at 25yds,i cont ask for any thing more. love it for conceal.it will do the job. and with corbon ammo,look out.

There may be finer weapons out there, but none come close to the Glock ( G19 in my case )for reliability, looks, or ease of use for 5 bills. Got this for CCW, but it shoots so nice, I usually leave the G17 at home. If you have large hands though, it will probably be too small for you. Negatives; 1)I'm a lefty, so the mag release is a pain. I've gotten good at using my bird finger for that, but it takes a bit of practice if your gonna use it as a defensive weapon. Could be shaped better with a lighter effort needed to release. 2)Dont care for the hollow behind the grip. I know there are plugs, but that item should come standard to remove if desired.

In addition to my current G19 I've also owned a G17 and several other .45 and .40 firearms. I carry one of two firearms for CCW, a Kimber 3" aluminum frame .45 and the Glock 19 (in 9mm, of course). I feel perfectly armed and capable with either of these compact and reletively light firearms. The Glock, however, has double the round count than the Kimber and is the chosen tool 90% of the time. The Kimber, however, does look much nicer and has more "soul" to it. As a tool, though, it's really hard to beat any Glock, and for CCW the G19 is near perfect in my opinion. In any case, no matter what gun you choose, plan on getting the OE or an aftermarket set of tritium sights... any serious carry gun must have night sights (in my opinion).

I have allways carried a revolver but they don't have the ammo capacity that the pistols have so i bought a Glock 19 and went to the range with it. I haved fired many firears and i tell you the glock 19 is right on. I find it very accurate, reliable and when you run out of ammo you want to shoot this thing more and more.

Hadn't fired a pistol since leaving the Army 15 years ago. Went for my CCW permit training, borrowed one of the instructor's G19's, and didn't miss a shot at all test distances. Well balanced, easy trigger pull, comfortable, light, easily concealed, accurate...what more could you ask for?

I own a G22, G21sf, and G19. as for the G19, Great gun, threw on a pair of night sights and i'm done. i carry the G19 EVERYDAY, ALL DAY LONG, NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT! I've put 1000s of rounds through it, no problema! It's perfect for concealed carry, it's light, holds 15 decent sized rounds, better ballistics and capacity than both 38 and 357 snub, can take +P ammo(which I don't plink with, just when I carry), very reliable, easy to shoot one handed, weak handed, easy to conceal, etc... The G19, it's on my hip now, need I say more, LOL!

After 100 rds @ the range I can honestly say that this compact Glock is accurate, simple and fun to use. My aim is not spectacular, but the gun itself is. After less than 7 full clips fired I feel completely comfortable with the gun. I look forward to the next time I go to the range & enjoy this. Very smooth.

I do agree with the pro comments on this board, Glock has very nice performance, it is safe and reliable. I have a Glock 28 (380 ACP) and a G19, both with great performance. I had more than 700 rounds each, they look and work perfect... reinforcing Chris comments Glock = Perfection

I bough this model 19 a couple of years ago and since have aquired the model 21 Sf model 22 and a model 36, subcompact. While the cal. and small size of the model is desirable, it is hard to beat 16 rounds over 7 or 8, depending on magazine accessories. IT''s light, I wear it daily and forget it''s even there. Oh, and of course, no failures.

This pistol has to be close to the most perfect one can buy. The weight of the pistol has been reduced only in non pressured areas by the use of high quality plastics ]Austrians call them polymers[ that provide fit and finish beyond other manufacturers metal components. The 15 round magazine is itself a study in high quality plastic manufacturing combined with high strength metals where important. The Glock 19 9mm compact version feels as good as the full size Glock 17. I would recommend the Glock 19 over the Glock 17 for anyone whose hands are of normal size. I think recoil is virtually the same as other 9mm''s using the same ammo and the handle/barrel angle helps restoring the gun to firing position quickly after a round is fired. My wife has no problem using the Glock 19 except the main recoil spring is a bit hard for her hands to pull back into initial firing position. It can also be difficult for me if my hands a sweaty. I believe there are still 31 or 33 round magazines available for the Glock 19. While this may seem to be overkill, it saves a lot of range time eliminating the number of magazine loads necessary. I have two of these oversized magazines and they have never jammed. However, my Glock 19 has jammed twice due to my carelessness when first using the gun. This is obvious to me now, but it is essential that there is no obstruction to the slide when firing a shot. The two times my gun jammed also did some bloody damage to my left thumb that was in the way while firing a round. You would think that if one did this once it would be enough to make sure it did not happen again. I was dumb enough to have to experience a bloody thumb and jam twice within a short period of time before I learned my lesson and modified my grip to avoid this from happening again. I guess I have learned my lesson because I have fired over 600 rounds on the gun without further incident or jam. The gun came properly zeroed when I bought it. I added a Glock combination tactical light and laser a few weeks after I bought the pistol. I did this principally for my wife and I to worry less about accurately aiming through the sites when knowing that the bullet will go where the red dot is takes less time and is independent of the position of your gun ]providing you have a good grip[. The tactical light will easily blind an offender in lower light circumstances such that it is not a concern that the light will identify exactly where your gun is. The light is also very powerful in illuminating dark areas. However, I would think that if you have made visual contact with the light, it should only be used for a short period after that because of the ability of your target''s eyes to adjust to the bright light. Obviously, the length of this period is dependent upon the initial lighting conditions prevalent at the start of your search. I was concerned at first in having a pistol that had no external safety switch. I now think the Glock system of safeties is superior and almost teaches you gun safety by making sure you do not have your finger on the trigger unless you are ready to fire. An additional safety can lead to confusion or forgetfulness about the fire ready status of the pistol. However, it is critical that you completely review the firing status of the pistol before allowing anyone else to handle it. I cannot overemphasize this point. If I were to lose my Glock 19 I would want to replace it with another. It is a great pistol and I would see no need to try something else so long as the 19 is available.

This Glock 19 is my first semi-automatic weapon. I did a lot of online research and concluded that this model would be an excellent choice for concealment carry. I was not disapointed. It shoots very accurate and I would recommend to to anyone. I found this weapon at GlockWorld for a great price and they delivered it sooner than they promised. After 15 Years in the Marine Corps shooting the 1911 [45 cal] it ia a major switch to a 9 mm. It is easier to handle in a combat course, it is much easier to maintain target accqusition when on the move. Lighter weight makes that possible. There is less recoil, therefore maintaining more time on the target instead of waiting to resettle. In addition my wife is able to handle the M19 because of the wight and recoil is reduced.

This is the first Glock I have ever owned and I have to admit it is an excellent firearm. It beats all the other 9mm handguns I have shot ]in my opinion[. It is dead on out of the box and well built. I was a little iffy at first buying a polymer firearm but after a few shots that was no longer an issue. The gun is made for a medium sized hand and has moderate recoil. The overall weight is well distributed and it has the right amount of heft. Field stripping is a no brainer. Also, the safe action system gives great peace of mind and is one less lever that needs to be switched. Just aim and pull the trigger. I would highly recommend this firearm to beginners and experts. As a bonus there are many aftermarket parts that will allow you to customize the gun. ]Note: This review is for the Third Generation Glock 19[.

Great Handgun! Enough fire power to take care of business and still small enough to be conceiled. My Glock has night sights and the slide release extension. A second Mag gives you 31 rounds! I wouldn''t trade it for anything else. It has never failed. I own a model 22 .40 S&W with the same accessories. These have never failed, nor did my two previous Glocks. Awesome weapons.

I recently purchased the Glock 19 from topglock.com. I had the pleasure of taking it out this past saturday on the weekend and put a good 150 rounds through it. It is an amazing gun and is now my carry gun as well. I feel completely secure with 15 rounds of 9mm in that gun. Being my local range is only 50 feet distance I could land what would be headshots with this gun as well with ease. It is a great gun and recommend it to anyone looking for a good carry gun that''s not a full size but not too small like the G26 either. Perfect size gun in my opinion.

After many years as a 1911 shooter and CCW, I have become a Glock enthusiast. Prior purchases include the 21SF and the 26). The mag release on the 19 does not always engage. Other than that poorly functioning component, the ergonomics and simplicity of function is as competent as all other Glock models with which I am familiar.

I never liked glocks, I didn't like the looks or the fact it wasn't made in the good ol U.S.A. ... Till I shot one, then bought one(G-17) then another one (G-21)then another for carry(G-26)..For dependability,reliability you can't beat a glock, I have as much trust in them NOW as I do in a wheel gun.I don't need a pretty gun,just one I can trust my life with.I guess an old dog can learn something new!
